On October 22, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) and the US-Asia Institute co-hosted the third virtual visit of US Congressional Staff Delegation by organizing a video discussion between 6 US Congressional Staffers and Chinese experts on energy. Ambassador Zhao Weiping, Vice President of the CPIFA, chaired the meeting. Professor Pan Jiahua, Member of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS),Professor Zhang Xiliang, Director of the Institute of Energy, Environment, and Economy at Tsinghua University and Associate Professor Zhou Sheng at the Insititute, Dr.Yang Lei, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Energy, Peking University and Dr. Wang Yongzhong, Director of the Division of World Energy, Institute of World Economics and Politics, CASS briefed the US delegation on issues concerning China’s energy policy and the energy cooperation between China and the US and answered their questions.
